i built a narrated, cinematic web storybook in one sitting, and every asset in it is ai generated

i cannot draw and i am not an artist, so this started as a dumb question: could one person make something that feels like a tiny animated picture book in an afternoon, with zero hand drawn art. here is what came out: https://ww7d3a8t.mule.page/ you open it, tap once, and a short story plays on its own. a boy wanders into an old amusement park that everyone thinks shut down years ago but that quietly lights its lanterns at night, and across four seasons he meets four little keepers of the pla...

Just bought my first domain!

I appreciate that this is not a special moment for most and that some have bought several domains previously etc. I just wanted to share what feels like an exciting step forward for me in making it a little more real. Honestly, just wanted to say it out loud and to people who might understand the sentiment! :)

devs - anyone used the Prospeo API? how fast is it really

i'm building an enrichment feature for our crm and looking at different data providers. been testing prospeo's api docs and the rate limits look solid on paper (30/sec on pro plan) but wondering how it actually performs in production. anyone here pushing decent volume through it? i need to enrich about 50k contacts per week, mostly just emails and phone numbers. their docs mention 99.99% uptime which sounds optimistic lol. also curious about response times. we're currently on apollo's api an...

Built a free App Store keyword tool on the side — looking for honest feedback

Hey everyone — I've been working on a small side project and wanted to share it here for some real feedback. I'm not trying to build the next big thing or replace my income. I just kept seeing indie developers — people building apps on nights and weekends — getting priced out of decent keyword research tools. $40/month is a lot to ask someone who hasn't made a dollar from their app yet. So I built something. It's called KeyScout. It pulls real demand scores and competition levels directly fr...

Built a MacOS spawnable widgets App + AI agents (looking for feedback)

Hey everyone, I’ve been building a desktop productivity app called Keyfold over the last few months and wanted to finally share it here to get some honest feedback. Website: keyfold.io The core idea is simple: instead of opening full apps/tabs constantly, you can spawn lightweight widgets anywhere on your screen using shortcuts. Right now Keyfold includes: Switchable desktop widgets Clipboard history Sticky/pinnable notepad Calculator + conversions The two features I’m f...

I built an AI study app solo and got it to 1,500 users. Here's what I learned

Spent the last 4-5 months building an AI flashcard/study tool (its called Deckio). Started as something I wish existed, then ended up as a live product with ~1,500 users and a handful of paying ones. Built it solo with Next.js, Supabase, and the Gemini Vertex API. A few honest takeaways: Shipping something rough and real beats polishing something that never launches. My first version was pretty bad but it didn't matter. The hardest part was not coding the whole thing, it was distribution...

I’m jealous of every “I hit 3k MRR” post

yeep ! i’ll admit it. Every time I see those posts “Just hit $3k MRR in 3 months ” I feel genuinely happy for the person… but deep down I’m also jealous as hell. Meanwhile I’m sitting here after 8 months grinding every day with only $68 MRR. I keep asking myself what I’m doing wrong. Am I building the wrong thing? Is my marketing trash? Or am I just not good enough? I know comparison is the thief of joy, but it’s hard not to feel like shit when everyone only shows the highlight reels. The ...

Hey everyone, I'm a Parkinson's disease patient (10+ years) from South Korea. I can't work physically anymore — my hands shake, my balance is off, and most days start with a fight to get out of bed. I built a completely offline voice companion that never sends your conversations to the cloud

I feel like a lot of people my age in college have things they want to talk about but never do. Not because they're huge problems, but because they're embarrassing, awkward, or they feel like nobody will really listen. Those thoughts just sit there and slowly eat away at you. So I built C.A.L.M., a completely local voice companion that lets you talk freely without anything leaving your machine. Building it was fun, but one unexpected side effect was that I became a little more clear in my ...

i built a site that finds people on reddit already asking for what you sell. and if it gets it wrong, my bot fixes it in 15 min

here's the honest version. you paste your link into leadsfromurl and it searches reddit for people already asking for the thing you sell. not random traffic. real people you can go reply to today. it took me years of coding to actually know what i'm doing. AI makes the building part easier now, but you still have to understand what's going in and be able to fix it when it breaks. hundreds of saas projects have signed up by now, so the pipeline already knows what kind of people each product...

Hey everyone, we’ve been working on BachGround, a video-to-music / AI music generation project, and we recently prepared a cleaner public-facing repository for one part of our research: a text-to-piano model. The idea is pretty simple: text prompt → symbolic piano tokens → duration/velocity enrichment → MIDI Instead of trying to generate everything in one model, the pipeline is split into two stages: A fine-tuned Llama-based model generates the musical structure / piano token sequen...

Yesterday I built a CLI to share drum and bass tracks to Spotify and Telegram. Now it's a public SSH rave terminal 🛸

I kept sharing drum & bass tracks with friends, but it was a pain to add them to the playlist and post to Telegram. So I built a tool to make it easier. And then it... got out of hand. I started with a Telegram channel and a Spotify playlist, because friends wanted it as a feed. Then I made a CLI, because I do everything in the terminal anyway. I can give it a track and it gets added to the playlist and posted to Telegram. Then I wrapped the CLI in a Raycast extension so I could ...

I just shipped an iOS app that extracts recipes from Reels/TikTok/Shorts links. Took 4 months solo.

It's called Mise. iOS. Just went live on the App Store. The reason I built it: I kept seeing recipes on Instagram and TikTok, saving the posts, and then never actually cooking them because I couldn't be bothered to rewatch the video every time I needed to check an ingredient. Figured there had to be a better solution, then spent 4 months building one instead of just screenshotting things like a normal person. What it does: you paste a link - Instagram reel, TikTok, YouTube, recipe blog, what...
