Ask HN: What am I missing with Siri AI?

I have a lot of experience with LLM’s and have seen them become very good at interacting with tools within an environment. I’m truly amazed at how poorly the new Siri is at handling very basic requests for basic interactions with different parts of the ecosystem. I’m really beginning to question whether LLM technology is being leveraged at all here. What am I missing with this? I have tons of examples where it fumbles softball requests. For example: “Siri, can you give me the location of my dri...

Show HN: Orglet, an open source desktop app for your own team of cute AI workers

I’m building Orglet, a desktop app where you give AI workers (I call them orglets, and they are cute) their own instructions and talk to them individually or together in a group chat. You can build your own army of orglets using your existing Claude Code or Codex subscription, an API provider, or even locally hosted models. Like other agent harnesses, orglets can access a working folder you give them permission to use. They can split the work among themselves, and you can review the resulting di...

Show HN: An AI wedding concierge I built and ran at my own 300-person wedding

I'm an American who got married to a Mauritian this past May. We had our Hindu wedding in my wife's home country of Mauritius. My family and friends are not Hindu, and certainly had never been to the tiny island of Mauritius (it's off the coast of Madagascar in case you were wondering). My wife and I arrived in Mauritius only two weeks before the start of the wedding to put the final preparations in place. I dreaded the prospect of answering a billion questions from my guests while trying to do ...

Show HN: Building a Markdown editor for Mac, iOS and web

I've spent the last 10 months building Beauty: a local, powerful greco-roman Markdown editor where the page looks finished while you type. It runs on the Mac, iPhone and in the browser, and the browser version opens without an account: https://app.markdown.beauty I was frustrated with writing apps, and like most I used Apple Notes. After 2+ years immersed in Cursor, Codex and CC, I wished some interactions existed in a text editor. The Markdown renders in place as you write it, including table...
