To give some context: i recently finished the alpha for a project called trashdb. it's an api that spins up ephemeral, throwaway databases (postgres, redis, etc) in 200ms for CI pipelines, and then auto-nukes them. Basically solving the headache of docker desktop eating your laptop's ram during local testing, or staging db collisions.
