I don't know when it started, but anytime you ask openai to create some kind of content, whether it be code or even just materials, it goes off on a token-wasting side quest refusing to just begin the task you've given it. This morning, I did a small test with openai, DeepSeek, and Claude. Both DeepSeek and Claude began and finished the task easily. Openai, on the other hand, went on one of it's side quests, asking and repeating the same trash it always does now. It's a token wasting strategy...
