I tested Firecrawl, Exa, Parallel and Claude Search on SimpleQA. Here’s what scored best

I ran Firecrawl, Exa, Parallel and Claude’s native web search against OpenAI’s SimpleQA benchmark to see how much of a difference the search provider actually makes. All four were tested with the same setup: a GPT-5.4 agent using high reasoning effort, with a maximum of 20 search or extraction calls per question. The answers were then graded by GPT-5.4 using OpenAI’s official SimpleQA grading prompt. Each provider was tested twice and I kept the better result. For comparison, GPT-5.4 without...

Will AI literacy become a basic workplace skill?

A few years ago, knowing how to use a computer was a big advantage. Today, it’s expected. I feel AI might follow a similar path. Knowing how to use AI tools effectively could become a basic skill across many jobs. Not everyone needs to build AI models but understanding how to use them, verify outputs and improve workflows might become important. Do you think AI skills will become a normal requirement in the workplace or is the hype bigger than the actual impact? submitted by &#32...

Ask HN: Is there legal risk in AI memory?

With the move with AI tools to storing everything especially meeting notes where every interaction is transcribed and embedded for agents to use as context. Does this not create a huge liability? I imagine in discovery there'd be massive trove of data, including off hand comments the company has. I'm especially thinking of companies like Google who enforce rules on language, like don't say "dominant" or "kill". If every meeting is recorded this would be a lot easier to find and with AI analysing...

Show HN: DynoTable – The DynamoDB GUI with real SQL and your AI agent

I've been using DynamoDB every day for work and I needed a fast, keyboard first, modern desktop client that will allow me to query, aggregate, edit items in few clicks and that integrates well with Claude Code or Codex. I didn't like any existing solutions. I have been using Dynobase for some time but its quite outdated by now and there are no new versions since 2023. DynoTable is a fast, keyboard first DynamoDB GUI desktop client for Mac, Windows and Linux. Some of the features: - SQL Workbench...
