Kimi K3 is 4.5x the price of GPT 5.6 Sol Medium

People are talking about the per token price, but they forget that Kimi uses way more tokens to output an answer. It's almost the price of Claude Opus 4.8 Max once you look at total cost for the benchmark.

GPT 5.6 solved all 6 problems from IMO 2026

GPT 5.6 Pro solved all 6 problems from IMO 2026 on the first attempt without any human help or steering. International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the biggest global academic competition in the world. The problems are considered incredibly hard, usually a performance at this level is only accomplished by < 5 contestants from the whole world. It's not surprising given the recent research breakthroughs, but still worth noting! We are former IMO medallists not affiliated with OpenAI, just p...

Kimi K3 is $3/$15 per million tokens. That's not cheap Chinese AI anymore

Kimi K3 hits $3 input / $15 output per million tokens. For context, that's: - Same ballpark as GPT-5.6 Terra ($2.50/$15) - More expensive than Claude Sonnet 5 promo ($2/$10) - 3-5x more expensive than what DeepSeek V4 launched at The "Chinese labs will commoditize inference" thesis is getting complicated. K3 is priced at frontier rates because it's performing at frontier rates on some tasks. The cheap AI story was always about labs burning VC cash at unsustainable margins. Kimi...

Uno Reverse: make AI review my code?

Random question / thought experiment: I know there are a bunch of AI PR review tools / skills out there but I personally don't have a lot of experience with them. I am getting a bit burned out reviewing AI code and frankly writing code was a part of the job I enjoyed. I'm wondering what experiences people have had with AI code review and what thoughts people have on doing the old uno reverse on AI to turn them into the review bots. I understand AI can write code faster than me but its sucki...

AI wrote this song... I decided to learn it acoustically.

I can't find the original creator, but a faceless channel had AI write & produce this song and then did an animation video for it. If you know of it or can find it please credit them in the comments.

Fable 5 deactivated for $200 Claude.ai Max Customers?

Trying to work out whether this is a billing bug or if I'm missing something. Anthropic has said Fable 5 stays included on paid plans (Pro/Max/Team) through July 19, 2026, 11:59pm PT — up to 50% of your weekly limit on it at no extra cost, then it moves to usage credits. That deadline has already been pushed back twice (July 7 → July 12 → July 19), so it's been well publicized. It's July 17 — two days before the deadline. And Claude Code keeps hitting me with: My setup: Plan: ...

A new, state-of-the-art, agentic pipeline: concept + track = full audiovisual world

A first, brief example of what Uisato Studio's "Music Video Pro" mode is capable of: turning a track and a concept, into a whole audiovisual world. This is a new, significantly expanded version of the original Music Video mode, now built around Seedance 2.0, multiple image references, and an even more precise creative-assistance layer designed to enhance and adapt your vision in an optimally model-aware manner. Anyone else getting seemingly unlimited image generation with ChatGPT now?

I used the trial Plus version last time but ever since it ended weeks ago, I've strangely been still able to keep generating images with no limit hit. One day I even generated like over 20+ images in one shot. Before this, my image limit was always being hit by like max 5 a day or something. Sometimes even just once a day. Anyone else experiencing this or is it just me? Or did ChatGPT just increase the limit for everyone [link] ...

Turned three-view drawings from GPT Image 2 into real 3D models with Hunyuan 3.1, then had GPT 5.6 Sol restyle the whole site to look like SpaceX's

Built a small showcase site this week for a few real aircraft and rocket hardware, an F-22, an F-35, Starship, and the Raptor engine, styled to look like it belongs on SpaceX's own website. Saw someone else's version of this visual approach first and wanted to see how close I could get to it with a fully AI-driven pipeline. Everything started with three-view drawings in GPT Image 2, front, side, and back for each piece of hardware, clean enough that they could pass for actual technical referen...

I may owe OpenAI’s engineers an apology — the new memory system + GPT-5.6 Sol Medium in Work is seriously impressive

English is not my native language. This post was translated into English by GPT. I was initially annoyed by ChatGPT’s new memory system. When it first appeared around two weeks ago, it could retrieve things from surprisingly old conversations, but the way it used them often felt unnatural. It reminded me of Gemini: the model would explicitly bring up old details when they weren’t really needed, almost like it was reading entries from a notebook just to prove that it remembered me. I dec...

Had GPT 5.6 Sol replicate someone's interactive site from a screen recording, then rebuilt its 3D cells using GPT Image 2 turnarounds and an image-to-3D pass

Been trying to reproduce someone's interactive site this week, the one with those dense organic cell shapes that swim around and react as you move. Got the first two effects close enough that I wanted to write up how, even though the later ones are still running on placeholder versions. Step one was just handing the whole thing to GPT 5.6 Sol as a screen recording and letting it work backward: screenshotting frames, pulling out reference images, and rebuilding the site's structure and layout o...

I asked ChatGPT what it would do if it were God

Q: If you were God, what would be your top 10 priorities? GPT-5.6 SOL (High): That's a fascinating thought experiment. Assuming "God" means an all-powerful, all-knowing being who values the flourishing of conscious life, my priorities might look something like this: End needless suffering Eliminate suffering that serves no constructive purpose: childhood cancer, starvation, torture, pandemics, natural disasters, and extreme mental illness. Growth can come from challenge wit...
