GPT-2 Fully Decoded Internally Black Box Fully Open With Demo

The BABEL codec: the first complete, certified decode of everything happening inside a production language model (GPT-2 small). It reads the model's internal state into English AND writes English back into the model. 94.7% of behavior reconstructed — and that holds at every layer depth and text regime tested, not just one spot. Everything is open: paper, the full lexicon, the grammar tables, the decoder/encoder weights, reproduction scripts, and a demo that shows you the model's thoughts on any ...

What is the meaning of AI benchmarks?

Whenever a new model gets released, I see alot of posts that this model now performs 80% in this benchmark and 90% on that benchmark. Now what does that mean and what if an AI model achieves 100% on all the benchmarks? Does that mean AI model cannot get any better now?

I need a way to Translate Audio/ Automatically make and translate subtitles from German to Portuguese

My little Half-Brother from Portugal is very interested in German History but can't speak German and wants to learn more about it. So i wanted to show him a 1:30 Hour movie about the begining of the frankian empires and the following history but i can't find a portuguese version at all. Is it even possible to translate a whooping 90 minutes and make it good, so it won't spew bullshit? I need help.

Leaked Gemini internal reasoning + UI schema

Asked Gemini a basic World Cup stat question (how many times has Spain finished top 4). Instead of an answer, it dumped its entire scratchpad: internal card-rendering logic with real component names (Bento/BentoCard/chameleon), a checklist it runs to decide what UI to render, and entity IDs it pulls from Google's Knowledge Graph. Just hadn't seen this specific schema documented anywhere. Raw output here: https://pastebin.com/8HWikGWj Curious if anyone's seen the "Bento" naming be...

Holly mascarpone, the new UI SUCKS

1.) In Chat mode, 5.6 Sol 'Instant' is basically 5.5 instant.. 2.) In Work mode (Oh God..) , we got : - a bar that's not customizable (doesn't let you add Luna, which would make more sense, since it's for the 'fast' tasks out of the three) - new models having 5 Effort levels, but 5.5 only 4? - 5.5 in Work has Light, but not Instant? So 5.5 Instant is Chat exclusive? or 5.5 Chat Instant and 5.5 Work Light are basically the same thing? Who TF designed this? Just let us choose from : ...

ChatGPT Desktop/Codex Desktop app merger is a big disappointment

I use both Codex and ChatGPT desktop apps daily. I love both apps but they both are useful for different things. It was however always very annoying that my ChatGPT projects that I've worked with for the last 1 and half years were in a different place that conversation inside of actual projects I had in Codex. I thought if they combined ChatGPT with Codex then I might be able to pull in context from threads that were relevant tomy Codex projects. Today to my excitement I updated and found that...

Does anyone else have gpt 5.6 too?

I dont understand, supposedly Max/Ultra for Pro/Enterprise but as Plus subscriber i have access to it and it uses my codex usage. Do i have some sort of special access or does everyone have this 5.6 model and Ultra option? My regular chatgpt still doesnt have 5.6 models.

ChatGPT vs ChatGPT Classic

I'm a heavy user of what were both formerly known as ChatGPT and Codex. And I would very frequently have both up and open side by side when developing. Today, I find that Codex has been rebranded and updated as "ChatGPT", and what I used to know as ChatGPT is now "ChatGPT Classic". As a Codex user, finding a way to better integrate regular ChatGPT conversations into the app is fine by me, but this isn't it. I can see like 5 historical chats, and literally none of my pro...

ChatGPT has become a toddler with perfect grammar

The constant gaslighting. The constant lying. Back tracking when called out, then doubling down on the gas lighting/lying. It’s wrong so often lately that the idea of company’s replacing people with it is actually insane. Idk why, but it feels much different than it did a year ago, and not in a good way.

ChatGPT just slapped on Anthropic's face and it is very Satisfying!!!

> Anthropic fearmongers their AI models for months. > Releases heavily guard railed model which has like 99% false positive rate and routes the request through opus with 2x the opus cost for "safety reasons". > Makes it API only with only trial through subscription limits. > ChatGPT silently released 5.6 which is similar to fable but without fearmongering/API-only/ridiculous-rates. > It has manageable rates compared to fable. This is why competition is necessary. ...

What's the coolest thing you've built with ChatGPT?

I feel like most people only use ChatGPT for homework, coding help, or writing emails. I'm curious what the craziest or most useful thing you've actually built or automated with it. Could be a side hustle, SaaS, workflow, browser extension, game, or just something that saves you hours every week. Need some inspiration because I feel like I'm barely scratching the surface. 👀

Who designed this!?

Christ almighty, this is so bad! What is even the difference???(if you choose one or the other, aside from the name and the small description, there is literally no practical difference between codex and work) I’m sick of seeing bots praise the new update on twitter and it seems reddit is no different! Do people seriously not see how bad this is?!

Better Call Sol

I spent several hours comparing Claude Fable 5 and ChatGPT 5.6 Sol Ultra on a real development project. With Claude Fable 5, the experience was frustrating. Many of my requests ended with the same response: "Fable 5's safeguards flagged this message." Even for legitimate software engineering tasks, I frequently hit safeguard refusals before getting a useful answer. I then switched to ChatGPT 5.6 Sol Ultra and the difference was immediately noticeable. It analyzed my project, id...

GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra is impressive — for the 12 minutes you’re allowed to use it as a Plus subscriber

I’m a ChatGPT Plus subscriber, and I was genuinely excited when GPT-5.6 launched today. Then I made the horrible mistake of actually using it. I gave Sol Ultra exactly two real tasks: Analyze and merge around 10 PDFs into one comprehensive document. The final output was roughly 700 pages. That single task completely drained my usage limit — even after I used one reset. Organize and clean up my Obsidian vault, involving around 700 Markdown files. And, surprise: my entire allowance disappe...

I gave GPT-5.4, GPT-5.5, GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra and Luna the same 35-word Coca-Cola Zero brief

I keep running this slightly silly frontend test whenever a new model turns up: give it a tiny Coca-Cola Zero brief, crank reasoning to the highest available setting, and see what it builds without looking at anyone else's work. This was the exact prompt: No skills are allowed. Create a beautiful landing page for Coca-Cola Zero using only plain AI. It can use custom design libraries. It must have at least five sections, with the hero section on top. That prompt went to: - GPT-5.4 Ex...

When an AI agent makes a costly mistake, who is accountable?

AI agents are moving beyond simple chatbots. Some companies are beginning to use them for research, scheduling, customer support, reporting, and internal operations. The interesting question is not whether an AI agent can complete a task. It is whether teams can trust it to make decisions, handle exceptions, and work without constant supervision. My guess is that adoption will depend less on raw intelligence and more on accountability. When an AI agent makes a mistake, who is responsible: the ...
