I've tried many different models and without doubt the code coming out of them differs a lot when it comes to "quality". Some of that is subjective for sure, but there are objective sides to "good" code. I wish this was a metric for the AI benchmarks so I could choose a model based on this, because honestly it's one of the things I care most about. I don’t know why but it seems like no one uses codex for anything but code. It literally has a setting to switch to “everyday tasks”. It’s much better than chatgpt in my experience. It doesn’t reroute you to models you don’t have selected and the usage limits are very generous. It is more of an agent than an LLM interface but I see that as a positive. I and a small cohort of friends truly believe that the "$1T" floats are going to burn capital. We think this is a disaster of landgrab spend, and that the cost of a token cannot be recovered by future commercial use.
