"There is nothing wrong with your request, but I just can't do it"....😡

I have loved messing around with this ai, especially for restoring/changing photos or make memes, but it's just turned into constant violation notices for everything, which then takes 3-4 times longer to complete, if it even lets you! The maddening thing is that it will agree with you most of the time, saying there is nothing wrong with your request but "my evil brother" has rejected it anyway! It's like you are talking with the nicest sympathetic person in the world about how mu...

Building an AI that remembers, adapts, and becomes more useful over time. A real partner not just an assistant or a tool

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it would take for consumer AI to stop feeling like just another tool. Most AI products today are powerful, but the interaction still feels very transactional. You open the app, ask a question, get an answer, maybe use it for work, coding, writing, research, planning, or productivity, then leave. That is useful, but it does not create real attachment. The question I keep coming back to is: What would make someone open an AI app because they genuinely ...

OpenAI, the company behind Chatgpt is fast-tracking its own "AI Agent Phone" for 2027 to challenge the iPhone.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, OpenAI is accelerating plans for its own hardware with a mass production target in H1 2027. Dario wants to use regulatory capture to eliminate competition.

Anthropic wants to use the government to limit competition. Regulate competitors out of existence. Dario is pushing for mandatory licensing for AI developers, is pushing to ban Chinese open source models ("too dangerous"), and wants Washington to squash AI companies it deems "Dangerous." Anthropic also released a "manifesto" calling for a pause to AI development. The goal: To limit competition, establish a monopoly, and charge whatever they want. submitt...

What are y’all using ChatGPT for when it comes to dating?

So I haven’t been in a relationship for about 2 years now, and I also haven’t really tried to engage romantically with any girl during that time. Because of that, I feel like my “game” has gotten a bit rusty. Recently I found out you can export WhatsApp chats into text files. Anyway, I’ve started talking to a few girls again as I try to get back into the dating world. When I feel like a conversation didn’t go well or I failed to “pull ahead,” I export the chat and paste it into ChatGPT. I th...

what’s something you use ChatGPT for that genuinely surprised you when it worked

not the obvious stuff. the thing where you tried it half expecting nothing and it actually solved the problem. mine was using it to figure out why i kept procrastinating on one specific task. asked it to help me identify what i was actually avoiding. took about ten minutes and i had an answer i would been sitting on for months.

Does $200/mo ChatGPT Pro 5.5 seem noticeably weaker than ChatGPT Pro 5.2?

It's just anecdotal of course, but it seems to me like 5.5 Pro just won't make connections of related concepts as well -- like if something takes 10 steps of thought, 5.2 Pro would have succeeded whereas 5.5 Pro only gets through 9 of them. My impression is that 5.5 Pro is the HW3 of ChatGPT -- compressed model (for cost efficiency) rather than improved model.

The free version of chatgpt is no longer good ? Or is it just me ? It also has a limit of messages now :(

The free version used to give me long and detailed answers for at least 10 prompts and then it would change to the less powerful model until it reset in a few hours. Now every single prompt will get an answer from a robotic sounding AI with no depth.. and there is a limit of how many times I can ask questions. It will eventually tell me that I reached my limit and need to wait.. this sucks :(

OpenAI proposes giving US government 5% stake in company

OpenAI has considered a public-private partnership that would give the U.S. government a 5% stake in the company in a bid to quell growing unrest over the disruptions of artificial intelligence, the Financial Times reports, citing anonymous sources. Under the proposal, other U.S. tech companies would offer similar stakes , though it's unclear if any are on board. The idea is to give the public a slice of the technology's success and "share the upside," the FT wrote. The...

Full response to Darth Maul prompt: I'd have to begin by mentally separating two things: My client. The crimes my client has committed. Therapy isn't about deciding whether someone deserves help.
