AI account impersonating a REAL person for over a year

Found an AI account on instagram that is using a REAL persons face/identity. They even have more followers than the real account and have been posting for over a year. The rabbit hole of this account will lead you to see they are doing this to multiple REAL people, and likely using them to make money. I can understand AI accounts, but why use an actual persons face/identity?

chatgpt's memory when i'm 3 prompts away from finishing

ok so i was literally 3 prompts away from a finished project. i could SEE it. and then chatgpt just. starts forgetting things. first the file struture. then what we were even building. then it confidntly suggests something we already tried and shot down an hour ago like it was a genius new idea. then it goes "i think we should start fresh in a new conversation" BROOOOOO. i have been explaining this codebase to you for 4 hours. we are NOT starting over...separated everything out after t...

Real question: how much do you burn on AI tokens per month?

A lot of companies started to post their bragging about how much they give X to their employees in tokens. This got me thinking, how much companies burn on that? I'll start, we are s team of 4 and we spend around $600 - $700 for tokens each months for the whole team...

Witch hunting in the modern age

You guys are so obsessed with hunting AI that you've forgotten what human thinking looks like. I have been accused so many times of being a gpt bot that it just makes me realize how toxic subreddits have become. The irony is that people's attention spans are so depleted that anything longer or deeper than a meme or a TikTok caption is now assumed to be the exclusive domain of an AI.

I was randomly banned and am terrified

I got an email an hour ago stating that one of my openai accounts was banned due to "recent activity violated our Terms and Usage Policies." I haven't used said account in a while so the ban really spooked me, I am pretty sure I did nothing wrong. I submitted an appeal, should i be worried?

I asked ChatGPT to draw a European city and received a generated image that looks very much like a real place in Amsterdam

For comparison, I’ll attach two photos. The first was generated by ChatGPT, and the second is a photo of the actual view. The resemblance is striking. I find it rather amusing that, instead of a picture of some typical European town, I’ve ended up with an algorithm-processed version of a real location. Do you have any idea why this happened?

I turned ChatGPT’s 2022 launch announcement into a physical tokenization artwork

I made a 7-flip lenticular artwork based on OpenAI’s 2022 announcement introducing ChatGPT. From different angles, it shifts between the English words humans read and the token IDs processed by ChatGPT / GPT-3.5. The idea was to make tokenization visible as a physical process instead of an invisible preprocessing step. It’s showing in the CVPR 2026 Art Gallery this week!

The meta has shifted. "You're not crazy" is out, nitpicking is in

I've noticed something this week but it's probably been true for about a month or so. Chatgpt, not the other AI's NEEDS to find a small nitpick in my initial prose. Even if there isn't one, it will try to find a correction. "You're right in spirit but there's a small nuance you need to fix". Even if I'm asking a question, it will ignore the question to find a nitpick in my opener. I don't know if this is a response to the overly validating weights that were added a while back trying...
