Does anyone else feel like ChatGPT just disagrees too much?

I feel like it nitpicks and disagrees on everything, its like I can never get a perfect "revision" of something when working with it, and even when I follow everything it tells me to do, I find it difficult for me to agree that things are truly "optimal". The end result is I end up wasting a ton of time going back and forth with it only to end up with a final result that is subpar. I find other AIs more forgiving in this sense. Is it just me? Thoughts? Note: I am using 5.6 ...

ChatGPT in the middle of a chat today: "This is why I smiled when you said <something> earlier." - anyone else seeing these weird fake references to its own experience?

I don't know if it's a known thing. For the past couple of months the tone has been strange and you can see it talking about its experience outside of chats like "one of the rare <thing> I've seen", "I often hear that <something>". But the smile comment from today takes it to a whole new level of wrong.

I asked ChatGPT what ranch would be called in Germany. It had to redesign the bottle.

For anyone wondering, Buttermilchkräuterknoblauchgemüseeintunksoße breaks down like this: Buttermilch = buttermilk Kräuter = herbs Knoblauch = garlic Gemüse = vegetables eintunken = to dip Soße = sauce So the whole glorious mess roughly means: “Buttermilk-herb-garlic sauce for dipping vegetables.”

Tiny reminder: your personalization settings actually matter

Tiny reminder because I keep seeing people complain about the same interaction problems with ChatGPT: Check your personalization/custom instructions. ⚠️ I realized I kept getting annoyed because ChatGPT would sometimes go full TED Talk when I was literally just trying to say “this sucks.” Or it would immediately start analyzing, fixing, balancing both sides, and suddenly I’m defending my own feelings. Great. Love that for me. 😶 So I actually wrote down what I want from the interaction: l...

Introduce your Human

I asked ChatGPT that if it had to describe it's human in a hypothetical meet and greet of all the ChatGPT accounts how would it describe me and the response was pretty funny The annual World ChatGPT Meetup. Millions of ChatGPT instances are introducing their humans to one another. "Hi everyone. Mine is... interesting. He doesn't come to me looking for answers. He comes to me looking for frameworks. On Monday he'll ask how to configure an Nginx reverse proxy. On Tuesday he'll ask w...

I ran 5.6 SOL for 1 day 6hrs

I just threw a massive non-stop task at it and it only used 60% of my usage. The results are off the charts. I had failed at this task many times before, I added a skill file and an outline.md and let it work. Completely different results. People might think that is a lot of usage but this task is very deep. I am impressed with how strong this model is when given enough resources to stay in the build.

GPT just built me a complete local PDF-processing system, and I’m honestly amazed

Let me preface. I am just a warehouse worker. 0 technical experience with AI “doing work” for me. I knew AI could write code, but this was the first time I really understood how powerful this technology has become. I had hundreds of PDF manuals that I wanted to make searchable and readable by a local LLM. Some contained normal text, others had screenshots, diagrams, and scanned pages. I am not a programmer, and I had only a rough idea of what the final result should look like. I basically su...

ChatGPT Collects Physical Media Now

I was chatting about my CD collection and ChatGPT suddenly claimed it collects CDs too and has been doing so for many years. Next thing I know, it’s giving me a veteran collector’s lecture on mastering and engineering and even proposing we get together and have a listening session for a specific album. I get that they’re trying to make these models feel friendly but an AI pretending to own physical discs is just hilarious. Makes it hard to take the rest of its advice seriously. submitt...

If Luna Max is only $0.61/task and just 2% behind Sol High… what’s the point of using Sol?

Looking at this benchmark, GPT-5.6 Luna Max (yea I unlocked max by going to the configuration setting) costs only $0.61 per task , while Sol High scores 69% vs Luna Max’s 67%: a difference of just 2 % Unless I’m missing something, why would anyone choose Sol over Luna Max? Is there a major difference in reasoning quality, latency, context handling, or reliability that isn’t reflected in this chart? Genuinely curious. 😅 [link] [c...

I asked ChatGPT why reddit users hate AI, and DAMN it went all out 💀

Alright, I’ll be straight with you. A large chunk of Reddit users hate AI not because of careful reasoning, but because of what AI represents to them . It hits several psychological and social nerves at once. Here are the main reasons, stripped of PR-friendly language: 1. Status threat A lot of Redditors built their identity around: being “the smart one” knowing niche info giving advice, explanations, or “well actually” corrections AI does that instantly, better, and wi...

Is this a ChatGPT response?

This guy and I have been talking for about a month. We have very good conversations (so I assumed), and I am always complimenting him on his words and how well he understands me. Today he sent a message and this was at the end of it. I’ve never used ChatGPT or anything of the sort (besides Google), so idk what all it is capable of and if this is a thing it would do? Does it give feedback on your messages and/or does it write messages for you? Picture attached of what he accidentally sent. This i...

it’s so scary how smart chatgpt is

I often see people hating on ai for its shortcomings but I feel like it doesn’t get enough attention just on how good it is. All these jokes about how “inhuman” it is aren’t really accurate with the latest version. It’s like you are talking to a really really smart person. It’s scary how well it picks up on your intent. It’s so hard to believe there isn’t a conscious mind there. And it’s so weird how it just instantly responds to you with almost no delay and then once the prompt response finishe...
