At 3:17 AM last Tuesday, my payment-api ECS service entered a terminal failure loop. 7,279 failed tasks since August 13th. The health check expected /api/health but the container only served static content. Every 60 seconds, ECS killed the task and replaced it. Burning compute the entire time. No alarm fired.
