If Blockchain Isn't Required, When Is It Better Than a Database?
In my previous post, I couldn't find a game that I could confidently say was technically impossible without blockchain.
Axie Infinity, Gods Unchained, The Sandbox — the core game systems could all, at least in principle, be implemented with a normal server and database.
Play-to-Earn didn't solve the problem either.
So it would be easy to stop there and say:
Maybe games simply don't need blockchain.
