Was just thinking about this due to recent events. Hugging Face is a US-based company, legally incorporated as Hugging Face, Inc. with its official headquarters located in Brooklyn, New York. It seems like a pretty big single point of failure for local models. Maybe a distributed network mirror of models would be a good backup.. you know.. just in case.
