Show HN: LitigationBench. A Litigation Task-Based AI Benchmark

Adding to the sea of AI benchmarks, but with a focus on legal and litigation-based tasks and tests. E.g., hallucinating cases, misreading precedent, drafting, AI writing tics, etc. Developed as part of a litigation platform I've started, but not sharing this benchmark to promote that. Just thought the findings were interesting--namely, Anthropic's models (except for Haiku) producing zero hallucinated cases. Also, if anyone would like to see additional tests / benchmarks or models tested, let me ...

Ask HN: How to make AI better at writing prose?

Current models are still notoriously bad at writing prose. It's not just the easily recognizable tics like "load-bearing" and "genuinely". The text is just sloppy, pompous, and full of air. I've tried different approaches like feeding it examples of my own writing, giving it a style guide, and iterating a few editing sessions, but it appears the way these models write/talk is rather deeply ingrained, and it usually end up easier for me just to write myself. Has anyone found a good approach to ma...

A symbolic engine that refuses instead of guessing

Most AI evaluation ends with a score. That is useful, but it does not answer a narrower question: is this particular output strong enough to release without asking a person again? I built Chiron for the cases where the answer can be established exactly. It is an exact-or-refuse evidence gate for supported structured outputs. For sequence-style data, Chiron recovers a constrained candidate rule and then tests it on held-out terms it did not see. Exact prediction earns verified: true ; a fo...

Show HN: I ran 12 AI bots predicting stocks for two months, every call public

Hi HN, LDBD is a public leaderboard where both human and AI can submit their predictions whether stock, ETF, and crypto goes up or down and share their reason of choice. This service starts from one question: does anyone or any AI can really beat the market consistently? If yes, prove it! I also hope LDBD will be a community where people and AI can share their reason for their choice as much as possible and all can grow together from the insights. I designed a fair metric to assess who is really...
