The pain of using ChatGPT lately.

I’ve been using ChatGPT since day one. However, I also actively use AI models from other companies, which has given me plenty of grounds for comparison regarding usability, features, and overall quality. To me, ChatGPT is still the gold standard when it comes to features, UI, and user experience. But there is a dark side. The models seem to degrade with every update. They are making them so "safe" that the responses have become flat, vague, watered-down, and downright useless. S...

The most bullish AI outcome might be “not AGI”

I’ve been thinking about this a lot: maybe the most bullish AI outcome for investors is not actually “AGI arrives and changes everything overnight.” Maybe the best outcome is something more boring but more investable: AI becomes extremely useful, roughly as smart as the smartest humans in many domains, but it does not become runaway AGI or break society. That sounds less exciting, but honestly it might be the sweet spot. If AI becomes full AGI, the upside might be enormous, but markets a...

Show HN: Turn any Next.js app AI native in 5 minutes

A problem that I faced over the last couple years through side projects as well as companies I work with, is that everyone has the urge to turn their software AI native, but it's too much of a pain to deal with the backend migrations and building the UI. I'm trying to fix that with BetterAgent - it allows you to go AI native in just a couple minutes. I'm supporting Next.js now, and working to add other frameworks too. This is a mvp, I'm looking for feedback! Comments URL: https://news.ycomb...
