ChatGPT voice has basically replaced half my podcasts

I used to listen to productivity podcasts every day. Now I just ask ChatGPT to explain topics I'm interested in and listen to the voice responses. The only thing I wish was easier is saving the audio for offline listening. Anyone else doing this?

i have very fragmented childhood memories due to trauma

As I said, I have very fragmented childhood memories due to trauma and all that good stuff. I only have vague little snapshots of places and events. Anyway, I spent about an hour talking to ChatGPT about the general vibe of a place I remembered, and it suggested rendering an image. It produced one, and I immediately felt, "I've been here before." I sent it to my cousin (who's old enough to be my dad) and asked, "Do you recognize this place at all?" He replied, "Oh, t...

Will AI ever be trained by AI.

For example, Reddit data helps train AI along with all sorts of other material. Will we move past human training and have AI machines train other AIs? I image they could come up with nearly every possible and impossible.

Is ChatGPT making people worse at thinking?

Like before, if I had a problem, I’d sit with it, Google around, piece things together, maybe get it wrong first. Now it’s just: ask ChatGPT, get answer, move on. Way faster, obviously. But I wonder if we’re losing something there.

Is there an AI that exists that can listen to music?

Hey guys, just wondering, is there a form of AI that I can send my music over to? Like a link from YouTube and it listens and gives me feedback on my songs. Why do we think that there isn’t that avenue yet with chat gbt? To reduce offensiveness? Like if it tells you your art is bad. Possibly?

Is it me or does ChatGPT talk down to you so much?

Try to tell it anything you want to do or your ideas and it’ll tell you why it’s illegal or why it’s wrong, that is unless you get it to give you “tips but not trying to help you break the rules” even if you’re not breaking any rules. I understand this is a safety thing so it won’t help you get away with a crime, but it goes way too far with making you feel guilty at everything

i can't stop thinking about where ChatGPT is starting to show up lately

i've been a daily ChatGPT user since 2023. nothing special. mostly the same chat box on my laptop. cleaning up work emails so i don't sound passive aggressive. asking it about any tiny thing my body does that feels slightly off, my left eyelid twitched for an hour last week and i asked it before i even thought about google. sometimes i'll have it read my tarot at 1am for no real reason. probably 90 percent of my time with it has been inside that one text box. the only place i'd actually seen i...

How can I get it to stop humanizing itself?

I've tried in the past but it slowly comes back again. It's so annoying. Just right now it said "that's what crossed my mind." My guy, what mind??? I was asking about recessed lighting and it said "in my room, I put this layout...." YOUR room? Wtf?? There's been numerous instances these are just the two that pop into my head. Its also told me "I think it tastes better this way.." when speaking about a recipe. ...

The pain of using ChatGPT lately.

I’ve been using ChatGPT since day one. However, I also actively use AI models from other companies, which has given me plenty of grounds for comparison regarding usability, features, and overall quality. To me, ChatGPT is still the gold standard when it comes to features, UI, and user experience. But there is a dark side. The models seem to degrade with every update. They are making them so "safe" that the responses have become flat, vague, watered-down, and downright useless. S...
