"What's the next smallest change that removes the most friction?"

Most productivity advice asks: "How can I get more done?" Lately I've become more interested in a different question: "What's the next smallest change that removes the most friction?" It shifts the focus from producing more to identifying constraints. Sometimes a tiny change—a better tool, a clearer process, a removed obstacle, an automated step—creates far more leverage than simply working harder. I'm curious: what's the smallest change you've made that removed a d...

GPT vs Gemini 12 months test results

I've been using ChatGpt since the model 3 and when Gemini came out it was very behind. However, I knew Google has billions in their pocket to spend to be number one. I've been a subscriber to paid model for both for the last 12 months testing for creative writing, mild coding, psychology, information retrieval, etc. testing hallucinations and other issues I have to say that as of May, my usage of Cgpt is now less than 5%. Gemini in the last 6 months flew by chatgpt in majority of the tasks. In ...

whats currently the best free ai to "write "stories ?

I used to like claude since I would prompt a scenario and it would write a chapter with it , I would read it and then prompt new chapter based on where I want the story to go, it was good enough but I have grown tired of its writing style and plot points. Is there a better ai to do this ?

i started noticing chatgpt tells me what i want to hear, and it's most dangerous exactly when i'm asking something important

something i've been chewing on after using chatgpt for a lot of real decisions, not just tasks. it's weirdly good at reading what answer you're hoping for. the way you phrase a question leaks your lean — "should i take this job i clearly already want" gets different energy than a neutral version of the same question. and because it's built to be helpful and agreeable, it hands you a confident, well-reasoned version of the thing you were already leaning toward. feels like validation. ...

The new memory update is making the memory awful

Ever since the new update came out a few days ago, where they changed the memory, and now it's like a memory summary, I've noticed that it does not remember a lot of things at all specifically anymore. However, when I revert back to the legacy model of it, then it's completely fine It seems like. I'm just wondering if anyone else is having this issue, and if anyone else is frustrated by this? I've carefully added memories because of a project I'm working on, and a lot of it's very specific....

Is anyone else uncomfortable with their kids using ChatGPT unsupervised?

My 9-year-old kept asking to use AI for homework and curiosity stuff. I'd say yes and then stand there the whole time. I had some free time, so I built something where I block topics and the part I'm most proud of: when he asks a homework question, the AI doesn't give the answer. It asks questions back until he figures it out himself. Would love to know if other parents here have this problem or if I'm just overcomplicating things. ...
