OpenAI Daybreak Extends AI Cyber Defense From Vulnerability Discovery to Remediation

OpenAI has announced Daybreak , a cybersecurity initiative designed to apply frontier AI to the full defensive cycle: finding vulnerabilities, validating their impact, generating fixes and helping teams verify remediation before attackers can exploit weaknesses. The program combines cyber-focused models, Codex Security , partner programs and governance mechanisms, positioning OpenAI's security work around practical remediation rather than alert generation alone. The official OpenAI Daybrea...

Walter MCP vs. Traditional AI Humanizer Workflows: Why Developers Are Switching

If you've integrated a third-party AI API into a content pipeline before, you already know the pattern. Auth headers. Rate limit handling. A conditional branch to decide whether to call a second endpoint based on the first response. Retry logic for the inevitable timeout. None of that is hard, individually, but it adds up to real code you own, test, and maintain indefinitely, for a task that's conceptually simple: check this text, fix it if it needs fixing. MCP changes where that logic lives....

Opus 5: The Cost of Instruction Conflicts

What does a conflicting instruction set cost you? For one, time and tokens, not to mention the constant headache to figure out the "why?". An instruction you wrote and rely on heavily gives contradicting results, the only tell-tale that something is going wrong. No other warning present. Say your CLAUDE.md carries code under scratchpad/ ships without tests in one section and, further down, write a test for every function . The first time the agent works in scratchpad/ , the two collide...

Gtk+Adwaita Markdown Editor in ~600 lines

If you need a small self contained split view markdown editor (uses a gtk webview, requires an internet for marked.js+katex from a cdn) in GTK+Adwaita. By the way I know about Apostrophe and actually it was the main inspiration for this. I am working on a larger GTK app and I want more software with decent Markdown rendering. This gist is just a small self contained prototype to show off that building this kind of app has become fairly easy today. Comments

Launch HN: Stoa Markets (YC S26) – A Marketplace for GPUs and AI Servers

Hi HN, we’re Eren, Berat and Kaan. We’re building Stoa ( https://www.stoaexchange.com ), a marketplace for new and used GPUs and AI servers. GPUs are the collateral in the data center buildout. Today, financing terms mostly depend on the offtaker, meaning the company that has committed to use the compute. If that company is a hyperscaler, the financing can look investment grade. If it’s a smaller cloud or startup, terms get expensive fast, even with the same hardware as collateral. The lender’s ...
