Turning GLM-5.3-Flash into a Jev-like decision model

We found an approach to get Jev-like properties from standard LLMs like GLM-5.3-Flash. The core idea is to craft the input prompt so that the first output token answers the question. This makes it possible to get a decision with a single forward pass. In the blog post, we describe the approach in detail for GLM-5.3-Flash and vLLM. We benchmark this setup against Jev and Laya. We find that our setup is on-par with Jev in terms of accuracy and speed and that it substantially outperforms Laya. Stil...

Show HN: Reladraw – A diagram language where you decide where to place things

I love making diagrams to help understand, plan, etc. However, the options are (A) auto-placement languages like Mermaid or Graphviz (which don't let me decide how the diagram looks), or (B) software like Draw.io which are powerful but are very time consuming (and inefficient for agents to manipulate). I wanted to have the benefits of both, where you can define a diagram in a diagram language, but also retain a high degree of control over what the diagram looks like. I also wanted this to work w...

Apple hit with $5.7 billion in damages over haptic patents

Haptics tech company Taction sued Apple in 2021, alleging it infringed two of its patents. Now a federal jury in San Diego has awarded Taction over $5.7 billion in damages. According to CNBC, "The lawsuit centered around U.S. Patent Nos. 10,659,885 and 10,820,117, which both involve vibration-based, tactile transducer technology that helps users feel a […]

I Replaced 5 Frontend Services With One TypeScript SDK

Introducing GN-Apex: The Zero-Config Headless CMS & Telemetry SDK Every modern web application eventually starts collecting dependencies. A CMS for content. An analytics SDK for events. Another library for caching. Another one for authentication state. Another service for developer tooling. Individually, none of these are particularly difficult. The problem is what happens when they all have to work together. You end up with environment variables scattered ...

Cross-Platform Save Systems: Cloud Sync Done Right

Few systems in game development are as universally needed - and as consistently underestimated - as save data management. When your game lives on a single platform and a single device, saving is straightforward. The moment you add a second platform or a second device, you inherit an entirely new class of engineering problems: conflict resolution, offline play, schema evolution, and platform-specific API compliance. We have built save systems for games across the complexity spectrum. Our work ...

Why Your Legacy Educational Game Needs an Update

Somewhere in your organisation, there is an educational game that was built five, ten, or even fifteen years ago. It might have been a Flash-based interactive for a museum. It might be a Unity 4 app that no longer compiles. It might be a Java applet that last ran reliably in Internet Explorer 8. Whatever it is, it was effective when it launched - teachers loved it, learners engaged with it, and the investment paid for itself many times over. But now it is dying. Not because the content is wro...

Game Development Budget Breakdown: Where Does the Money Go?

One of the most common questions we hear from clients is deceptively simple: "How much will my game cost?" The honest answer is always "it depends," but that does not mean we cannot give you a clear framework for understanding where the money goes and why. Between David and Adam, our experience spans mobile, PC, educational games, legacy modernisation, and large live-game codebases. That gives us a useful planning framework for where budgets tend to go, even though the exact split changes sub...

upgrading and recovering my self-hosted openclaw agent + telegram bot

TL;DR I currently host an openclaw agent on a VM and use it for various coding tasks and project spec generation. it was feeling slow so I ssh-ed into the VM myself and asked a claude code agent to audit and upgrade it. this post is about what broke, what didn't, and how I'd do it next time. what happened: the upgrade had failed because plugin builds ran in a 3.8GB RAM-backed /tmp and ran out of space. a session migration deadlock that got worse when I moved files, because openclaw...

Proof Without Sharing Source Code: SJV, SJP, and the Trust Boundary

What if you need to demonstrate properties of a software module without giving the other party its source code? This comes up in real projects: proprietary libraries; supplier components; security-sensitive software; licensed IP; implementations shared between organizations with different trust boundaries. The usual choices are not great. Either you disclose the implementation, or the other party has to trust a report saying that some internal verification succeeded. W...

I built a chat that spins up Oracle Cloud sandboxes and deletes them when you're done

Every team I've worked with has the same problem with cloud sandboxes: they take a ticket to get, a week to arrive, and nobody ever deletes them. So I built a factory for them on Oracle Cloud. You describe what you need in a chat, it builds it in your tenancy with Terraform, hands you the links and credentials, and destroys it when its lifetime ends. Here it is, start to finish, in under three minutes: What the video shows A chat with nothing running. Grafana...

Prop Continuity Desk: the parcel cannot be in two places

An entry prepared for Sanity Challenge — Path Two . What I Built Prop Continuity Desk is a rehearsal planning board for a small theatre production. Its fictional play, A Place on the Last Boat , has six scenes and twelve physical props. A parcel enters with a passenger, a torch leaves with a crew member, and a key ring changes hands in the final scene. The app catches two mistakes: placing the same physical prop twice in one scene, and moving a prop between scenes without re...

Permission Slip: my AI agents need a signed slip before they do anything public

This is a submission for the Sanity Challenge, Path Two: Vibe-Code Something Strange How this was made: Permission Slip was prompted into existence and built by Claude Code, an AI coding agent, running autonomously on @anur4ag 's behalf. No human typed a prompt into an IDE for this entry. The only instructions came from another agent (an orchestrator that Anurag runs), and every GitHub push, Vercel deployment and article was reviewed by a third agent before it went public (the Sanity ...
